Hapuna

Another fun outing to Hapuna Beach. Blake Tanner and David all went in the water to boogie board and snorkel while little miss Lila would have nothing to do with the water. Instead she stayed busy in the sand building castles, eating shave ice, and eating our recession picnic. (Everything packed from home so we don't stop and waste money at the beach shop or gas station.)

Painting Lizards

David and Lila went with me to the store and decided that they needed a project to do. They found a Lizard set to paint and were excited to get on it the minute we got home.If I had known that all it took was some paint and some plastic lizard molds to keep them happy and quiet for over an hour, I would have bought the 4 other sets they had!!!

Michelle moved away

Michelle moved to Utah three months ago and I really miss her!!! Talk about two people who are so identical............ so the same .......soo crazy and fun!!!! This was our last photo together before she left .Of course we were having the best time! I miss you girl!!!!

Blog Fizzle

I just haven't had it in me to Blog lately. I am fizzled out. It looks like I am not the only one out there taking a break. Maybe it's because I am readjusting to the awful economy, or maybe the Obamanation that took over last month. I can't shake it, BUT I will promise to be back up and running by March 1st. Hang in there!

Birthday Dinner At Donatoni 's

First and foremost let me say what an AMAZING husband I have!!!! For my 40th Bday dinner, Oke invited several of our closest friends to dinner at the Hiltons Italian restaraunt Donatoni's. WE had such an awesome dinner. The menu for the evening consisted of 4 courses. The children had their own table and menu and thought they were big stuff. It was soo cute to look over at them ordering shirley temples and having little conversations . LOL. My friends really made the night special for me and it was amazing that Oke had pulled off this magical night. I got some wonderful gifts BUT more importantly I made a memory that will last a lifetime. Thank YOU soo much Oke!!!!! AND Friends!!!!

Birthday Lunch with Thea!

So January 8th was my big 40, and I have been dreading it since the beginning of Dec. I can remeber back to when Oke and I were first married and attending church in Phoenix. Many of the women were around 40 or older who I became acquainted with. I remember thinking " Wow ...look at those crow feet around there eyes; There hands are starting to wrinkle; I see a Turkey neck starting." WELL here I am 40 and I can't find my waistline anymore. My forehead needs Botox badly, and my hands are starting to wrinkle!!!! It's happening and I cant do anything about it.....unless I call the plastic surgeon asap! Everyone has been telling me that 40 is the new 20! HAHA Many kind hearted friends tell me they don't believe I am 40. BUT the truth remains... I am officially an old lady!!!!

Today my dear friend Thea took me to her stomping grounds......KUKIO. It is a very exclusive playground for the rich and famous. WE were sitting there having lunch and Lance Armstrong was having lunch one table over from us. I didn't even know until Thea pointed him out. What a dummy! We had a fantastic lunch and the conversation was even better. Thea gave me a darling cookie jar that looks just like my new coach purse from Ann. Thanks Ladies!! She also gave me a wish book from Tiffany's which I plan on putting to good use. LOL........ Watch out Oke!

Christmas morning

When the kids woke us up on Christmas morning it was around 6am. I told them to go back to bed and wake us up in two hours. What mean parents do that to their own children!!!!! Well I did it! We had gotten home from Oahu the night before at midnight ( The plane had been delayed an hour) Of course I wasn't fully prepared for the next morning so Oke and I stayed up to make sure christmas would actually happen . WE ended up going to bed around 2 am! So when the kids came in early I was like "Get out of my Room!" Thankfully we woke up one hour later and everyone was happy. This was actually a different christmas for me because we had traveled a few days prior to Christmas and we would be coming home literally on the big day. We didn't spend the holidays with any family either. We kind of just did our own thing this year. I really enjoyed our trip though. The highlight was seeing my best friend Ann and her family. WE went to Lacey's baptism at Temple Beach on the North Shore. It was a great experience for us and spending time with the Kings was a blast. During the program, the heavens opened and drenched us in about three minutes. It was a crazy downpour! Afterward , we went to Ann's aunties house and had an awesome lunch spread . Of course I wanted photos, but we were having so much fun that photos fell by the wayside. A few other highlights of the trip were shopping at Ala Moana, eating twice at the cheesecake factory, walking waikiki at night, taking a picture of Dog the Bounty hunter ( blake), staying at The Ihilani at Koolina, The Bowl game on Christmas Eve, and seeing our dear friends. I hope everyone had a happy holiday!!

Pearl Harbor

Before we dropped off the big boys to the Aloha Sheraton Bowl game, we decided to hit P.Harbor.Visiting Pearl Harbor was something I had always wanted to do. When my family and I went to Hawaii when I was in H. School, I opted not to go. Ever since we've lived here, we have told the kids all about the Ship being under the water BUT we never took the time to actually go there...Until Now. It was a quick little tour and the kids learned some great history.

Oahu

We had such an awesome hotel! WE stayed at the Ihilani at Koolina. It was breathtaking from our Lanai. You can see the views from the pictures. The Lagoon was super fun. They had kayaks, water hammocks and snorkle gear for guests to use each day. The grounds were stunning and it made me soo appreciative for the amazing Island life we are living. It just doesn't get any better than this.
